| Axial Fans
In axial fans, air enters and leaves the impeller in a direction parallel to the fan axis. All the static pressure comes from the change in velocity as air goes through the impeller. There are three sub-categories of axial-flow fans:
These are available in AC and DC voltages
-
Propeller fans, where the airflow into and out of the impeller is not confined by any casing.
-
Tubeaxial fans, which generate higher static pressures than propeller fans.
-
Vaneaxial fans, which are basically tubeaxial fans with guide vanes to improve pressure characteristics and efficiency.
