Axial Fans In axial fans, air enters and leaves the impeller in a direction parallel to the fan axis. All the static pressure comes from the change in velocity as air goes through the impeller. There are three sub-categories of axial-flow fans:

These are available in AC and DC voltages

  • Propeller fans, where the airflow into and out of the impeller is not confined by any casing.
  • Tubeaxial fans, which generate higher static pressures than propeller fans.
  • Vaneaxial fans, which are basically tubeaxial fans with guide vanes to improve pressure characteristics and efficiency.
